Identification and Analysis of Training Needs

Recommended for:

Trainers, managers and other specialists who are responsible for the identification of training needs on an on-going basis at organisational, group and individual levels within organisations.

Course overview:

When training misses the mark more often than not the fault lies right at the beginning – in the way the needs were identified in the first place. Correct training needs analysis helps to address this and to enable effective training plans to be put in place. This programme is designed to enable you to identify training needs at an organisational, group and individual level, in a way that supports the corporate strategy and takes into account current and future needs, and human and cultural factors.

Course benefits:

By the end of the course, you will be able to:

  • describe a wide range of methods for identifying and analysing training and learning needs at organisational, functional and individual levels
  • use a wide range of sources of information, such as business plans, reports and accounts, and mission statements to assist in the identification of learning needs
  • take account of the different needs of the stakeholders in the process
  • identify the factors to take into account when analysing and reporting on information gathered on potential training and learning needs
