Understand the factors that can influence and affect the design of learning and development activities

-  explain factors relating to adult learning which impact on the
   design of learning and development activities
-  explain organisational factors which impact on the design of
   learning and development activities
-  identify and explain the key legislation relevant to learning
   and development activities.

Understand the different methods and resources to support learning and development activities and the relevant merits of each

-  describe a range of learning resources, their advantages and
   disadvantages, and the criteria for selection
-  explain a range of learning methods and their advantages and
   disadvantages and the criteria for selection.

Write aims and learning outcomes that reflect identified learning needs

-  select and justify learning content and methods to meet
   different learning outcomes and learning styles
-  develop learning resources to meet identified learning
   outcomes
-  select and justify methods for assessing that identified
   learning outcomes have been met
-  select methods for evaluating learning and development
   activity
-  know how to design learning and development activities.
