If you’re an experienced L&D professional working within a training role or context, our pilot programme for the Competence-based Certificate in Training Practice could be for you.
The Competence-based Certificate gives you the opportunity to demonstrate the skills and knowledge you have already acquired in learning and development, offers a route to Associate Membership of the CIPD plus professional recognition of your abilities.
How will my existing skills and competencies be assessed?
The Certificate is comprised of four units of assessment:
- training in context
- identifying and prioritising training needs
- designing training
- delivering and evaluating training.
You will need to provide evidence of meeting the assessment criteria which will be assessed through one or more of the following methods:
- observation by your personal tutor
- professional discussion
- witness testimonies
- written work such as reports or statements
- questions and answers.
What will I need to do?
To be awarded the Certificate you need to:
- complete an Initial Self Analysis Document
- attend a Certificate induction
- agree to an initial plan of action with your personal tutor
- gather evidence to meet the assessment criteria and Common Elements for the four units
- complete a Reflective Learning Record.
You’ll have the support of a personal tutor for the duration of the Certificate.
How long does it take?
You must complete the Competence-based Certificate within 12 months. As this is a pilot programme deferments or extensions cannot be made to the Certificate.
How much does it cost?
We are delighted to be able to offer this pilot Competence-based Certificate at the significantly reduced rate of £1,900 + VAT. Please note that places are limited.
