This qualification will explore the potential and limitations of the contribution of learning and talent development policies and strategies to formulating and achieving objectives at organisational, group and individual levels.

Who it is for
This qualification is suitable for senior L&D and/or HR practitioners responsible for decision making within an organisation at either operational, tactical or more strategic level and those involved in the implementation of processes of learning and talent development strategies.
Accreditation
The qualification is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), and is equivalent to QCF level 7. Upon successful completion of the programme you will receive the CIPD Advanced Level Award in Learning and Talent Development.
How to gain the qualification
To gain the qualification you must:
- attend three two-day course modules
- successfully complete a literature review and presentation
- successfully complete three written reports
- successfully complete collaborative online activities
- successfully provide a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate implementation and facilitation
- maintain a continuing professional development log (CPD) that demonstrates a satisfactory level of learning and understanding.
How long the qualification takes to complete
You have a maximum of one year to complete the requirements of the qualification.
What you will learn
On completion of the qualification you will be able to:
- critically analyse and evaluate the formulation and implementation of processes of learning and talent development strategies for defining and achieving current and future effectiveness at organisational, group and individual levels
- critically evaluate the potential and appropriateness of a range of learning and talent development strategies, policies and methods with reference to relevant contextual factors
- explain employee-led vs. employer-led strategies
- lead the initiation, development and implementation of learning and talent development strategies, interventions and activities
- work effectively and collaboratively with key internal and external partners and stakeholders to diagnose and manage learning and talent development response to problems and issues and ensure clarity of role and contribution to agreed responses
- developing and apply strategies and behaviours to increase influence on decision-makers and decision-making processes
- assess the role and influence the politics of learning and talent development policy and practice in a range of contexts
- act ethically and professionally with a demonstrated commitment to equality of opportunity and diversity in learning and talent development and to continuous personal and professional
development.
