I am in a standalone HR role for a challenging industry and sometimes require a bit of mentor/pick me up when times are a bit overwhelming.
As well as trying to reduce the time I spend watching repeats of my favorite shows on Netflix I figured I could do something a bit more productive by reading and broadening my knowledge. Bonus points if they are "a day in the life of" or humorous!
I am particularly interested in the following subjects and would welcome any book recommendations:
- How to say no
- How to deal with difficult managers (VERY traditional/bullies)
- Psychology within HR
- HR case studies
