Opinion on working for HR Outsourcing company?

Hi all,

I'm currently working as a HR Assistant for a company who outsource their transactional HR activities.

As I'm new to the profession I want to gain as much exposure to all aspects of HR as possible. As we outsource, some things I don't get involved with right now are dealing with recruitment and general enquiries as they are managed by our HRO.

I've recently seen a role working for an HRO company where I'd be on the other side of the fence and I would be interested to hear your views on these roles as a career move or whether it's better to stay in house and try to obtain that experience and exposure through an in-house role.
