CIPD-HR in Canada

Hello,

This post is for other CIPD practitioners in Canada and Internationally.

I'm concerned about keeping my CDP up to date for my CIPD L5 qualification, I moved to Canada shortly after gaining my CIPD and

there is no CIPD in Canada, the local equiv. doesn't recognize CIPD, so any training is very expensive and my company won't pay (I work in HR)

Does anyone have any advice or tips I could try?

Thank you,

Amanda

Hello Amanda, I too, may be in the same position as I hope to move to Canada soon with family. I have just started my career in HR and currently working as an advisor. Therefore any advise on this and understanding basic fundamentals on bagging interviews would be great.

  • Hey Amanda, I just made a thread in regards to CIPD qualifications and other countries so i'm going to copy and paste some parts. Please view my thread for more details.

For Canada, the Canadian immigration body has listed several evaluation agencies that can evaluate your CIPD qualifications and they are:

Comparative Education Service: University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies.
    International Assessment Service of Canada.
World Education Services 'WES' This company operates for both Canadian and US market.
    International Qualification Assessment Service.
    International Credential Evaluation Service.

All of these mentioned above, CIPD qualification holders can choose the one they think is right for them. This information is officially listed by the Canadian Immigration Body.
