I would like to know how other companies are handling the recognition of the previous years of service for employees who are transferring permanently to a group company in another country, in particular in relation to calculation of potential termination payments.
To what extent is the previous service being taken into account in the destination country/new country of employment?
What calculation method are other companies applying when it comes to calculation of termination payments, e.g. would the calculation be based on the current salary and the total years of service for the entire group or would any sort of cap apply?
Would love to hear how other companies handle these kinds of situations and have general company guidelines or policies for navigating these scenarios.
