Yes thank you Steve for keeping everything working and in order.

I enjoy chipping in where I can, after all it ticks the boxes for some of the 5 ways to wellbeing such as staying connected to others and also helping others.

    Thinking about the issues…

There is always sanity and rationality here Gemma, it's a sanctuary for me!

I am imagining an old rotary phone on your dining table now, for that secret direct line.

I have also been expected not only to distinguish between a common cold and…

Oh Jules, I'm sorry but I did laugh about your Smurf comment.

If it helps, I was midway through answering a question about juggling having children at home when also working, during a remote working tips webinar to about 200 people including senior…

Hi Sienna, my employer is offering a special 3 months sabbatical for a limited time, where the employee will get half pay for six months so they still have money coming in but can focus on caring/staying well. Partly it's to push costs into later on…

I am finding it all a bit surreal. Some aspects are carrying on as normal, we still have the usual casework, support meetings, and so on. There's a lot of contingency related work, so guidance for managers and employees about remote working, best practice…

For those looking for some diversity and inclusivity related reading material I can suggest "Kill The Black One First" by Michael Fuller, former Chief Constable of Kent Police and Chief Inspector of the Crown Prosecution Service. He was the first ethnic…

I would also recommend looking at village halls, civic centre type buildings and similar for fairly low cost meeting rooms.

My conversation to share, in order to vent...

Employee (on 40% absence rate and underperforming too): Can I use sick leave to attend a speed awareness course?

    Hi Darren

I hope the interview went well. Another thought is there anything you could do on a volunteer basis or as a freelancer for small charities that might lead to something to put on the CV?
