The CIPD, the professional body for HR and people development, has today announced the appointment of David D’Souza as its Membership Director.

David D’Souza brings with him extensive experience and knowledge both of the CIPD and the wider HR community. He has been at the CIPD since 2015, initially as Head of London and later as Head of Engagement. Previous to that he worked as an independent consultant following a long career in HR in financial services and retail.

David D’Souza said: “I'm honoured and delighted to take on a new role at the heart of a profession that I'm extremely proud to be a member of. I have a firm belief - one which I have seen in practice on many occasions - in the difference our members make to their employees, organisations and society as a whole. I look forward to building on the work we have done over the last few years to enhance standards across the profession and the value our members get from their association with the CIPD.”
