Community Caption Competition 2021
Terms and Conditions
Details of how to enter form part of the terms and conditions. No other method of competition entry is allowed. It is a condition of entry that all rules are accepted as final and that the competitor agrees to abide by these rules. Chosen winners are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
By entering the competition, the entrant agrees to release the Promoter from any liability whatsoever for any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the competition or with the acceptance, possession, attendance at or use of the prize (except death or personal injury caused by the Promoter’s negligence, for fraud, or otherwise as prohibited by law).
This competition is not open to employees of CIPD or CIPD Enterprises Limited, their families, agents or anyone else professionally associated with the competitions.
All prizes are available on the date of publication but subject to availability. Prizes are non-transferable and there are no cash alternatives.
Events may occur that render the competition itself or the awarding of the prizes impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the Promoter and accordingly the Promoter may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the promotion and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to the Promoter as a result thereof.
English law applies and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts shall prevail. The Promoter is CIPD Enterprises Limited, which is wholly owned by The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, 151 The Broadway, London, SW19 1JQ.
Closing date: The winner will be chosen from all entries received by the closing date, and published by Friday 14 January 2022. All entries must be received by 23.59 on 31 December 2021.
How to enter: You take part by submitting a caption, you will be given the opportunity to enter the competition with prizes as specified in the CIPD Community. Entries must not include abusive, discriminatory or defamatory language. Late, incomplete, illegible or corrupt entries will not be accepted. No responsibility can be accepted for late or deleted entries and proof of transmission will not be accepted as proof of receipt. The winner may be required to participate in publicity. There will be one winner per caption competition who will be contacted over a period of 14 days after the closing date and if unsuccessful, they will forfeit the prize. Management and operation of the competition is at the discretion of the Promoter.
Entry restrictions: Entry is open to all those over the age of 18.
