The findings of our 2011 employment relations survey were published in the midst of an ongoing debate about the likelihood of significant and possibly co-ordinated strike action in the public sector against the impact of spending cuts on jobs, pay and pensions.

Our survey report provides a snapshot of the employment relations climate across UK plc, and appears to illustrate that on the frontline of employment relations the argument is finely balanced.

The report covers:

  • union recognition and relationships between management and the unions
  • the impact and influence of unions
  • strike action
  • informing and consulting employees
  • attitudes towards current and future employment relations
