CIPD Good Work Index
The CIPD Good Work Index provides an annual snapshot of job quality in the UK, giving insight to drive improvement to working lives
Published between Spring 2009 and Spring 2017 this survey of UK employees identified their opinions of and attitudes towards working life, produced in partnership with Halogen Software
The Employee Outlook series was published between Spring 2009 and Spring 2017. During those years the CIPD commissioned YouGov to conduct regular surveys of a sample of 2,000 to 3,000 UK employees and sole traders, to identify their opinions of and attitudes to working life. The report findings provide trends over time relating to job satisfaction, employee engagement, well-being and work-life balance, perceptions of line managers and senior leaders, pressure at work and job-seeking. Reports also cover topical issues, for example voice, skills shortages, productivity and performance management.
Recent issues of Employee Outlook are available to download below. CIPD members can access earlier reports on the HR and L&D Database.
In 2018, the CIPD has launched UK Working Lives, an extensive and detailed annual survey of 6,000 UK employees.
