Welcome to the Central London branch homepage
There are about 3,500 of us members in Central London and the role of the branch is to organise a programme of activities to develop our professional knowledge, skills and networks.
Across the year we organise core law updates, panel discussions, soft skills workshops and networking events. We’re also doing more than ever before to develop our online communities and give you a platform to contribute to policy discussions with the CIPD and with local and national government here in London.
We recognise that sometimes you can’t always get to events in person so we are trialling with live streaming of some events and producing podcasts of others:
- Podcast on redundancy law: https://ispri.ng/VDqJ8
- Podcast on negotiating exits: https://ispri.ng/GYNxG
- Podcast on protected conversations: https://ispri.ng/L1gRM
- Podcast on hidden health in the workplace - https://ispri.ng/V7B1R
There are eight of us who volunteer on the branch committee – see below. Our day jobs stretch across all areas of HR from workforce planning to L&D and we work in sectors as diverse as business services, not for profit, retail and public sector. We’re always happy to hear from other members wanting to help out.
If you already like the events and activities we organise, please spread the word and get another member involved. And if you don’t, please tell us … better still, give us your ideas and time to make things even better.
Hopefully I’ll see you around the branch in the year ahead.

London HR Connection
What is London HR Connection?
LHRC is one of the leading Human Resources networks in London inspiring, informing and challenging our members. We provide regular events that offer great speakers on the hottest topics in the world of human resources. We also pride ourselves on the excellent networking environment that we have created.
Our members also get a chance to meet and talk to other HR professionals in a relaxed and friendly environment at the networking sessions that precede the main event. Membership is available on an individual basis. One of the unique features of the LHRC is that people can join at any stage of their career, with LHRC membership assisting with personal development and future career progression.
You do not need to be a member of the CIPD to join LHRC. Joining is easy, so visit the LHRC website for more information.
For further details about London HR Connection, including booking information for the events and seminars, please go to the London HR Connection website.
We are also a part of CIPD London – a collaboration between seven regional branches – and we are working together to strengthen the links between all our branches, draw on our collective expertise and contacts, and create and promote a London-wide events programme. So no matter which CIPD London branch you belong to you are welcome to attend events across the capital.
