Welcome to our branch area

Thank you for visiting our branch page and for your interest to be part of a vibrant local community of people professionals.

We're an active branch with almost 2,000 members. We're spread across a wide geographical area of Fife, Forth Valley and Tayside. Whether you’re a member, non-member working in the people profession or a business leader, we believe you can benefit most from your membership by being actively involved with the branch activities. This may be through attending events, contributing to our newsletters, participating in our online discussions, partnering and supporting our activities or feeding into some of our steering and special interest groups.

If you are a member, you can even join our branch committee and have a direct involvement in running the branch. Whatever level of involvement you can contribute, we have no doubt you will find it both valuable and enjoyable.

Learn about our branch

We have our members at the heart of everything we do. We support our members to Champion Better Work and Working Lives by encouraging local networks for practitioners, building capability, gaining new members, running events, providing visibility and input into public policy agendas and working collaboratively with other branches. We are a channel for member and potential member engagement at a local level. If you have ideas for improving what we have to offer or if you think we can help you with any aspect of your career or your continuing development, please contact us.

Get involved

We have a core of dedicated volunteers who help organise branch activities and help our members to develop and learn as people professionals. We're always looking for more volunteers so, should you want to get involved, please get in touch.

Agile volunteering

Our branch wants to involve as many members as possible with helping to improve how our branch listens and delivers for members. We've introduced an agile volunteering approach that gives members the opportunity to volunteer to take part in agile sprints to deliver specific improvement projects using leading edge agile working approaches - a great way for members to get involved with the branch, learn new skills AND help us improve.

Member listening

Our members are at the heart of everything we do. Our annual members feedback survey helps drive our plan for the following year in terms of topics, locations and the format for you to engage with the branch.

Gaining sponsorship for events helps us to stretch the branch budget and be more effective with resources. If your organisation would like more details please contact the branch.
