Welcome to the CIPD North East of England Branch. We offer a range of services and events aimed at Human Resource and Development practitioners and the wider business community.

We aim to provide opportunities for learning through an exciting events programme, to raise the profile of the CIPD within the region and to promote best HR&D practice. In addition, for the coming year, we will continue to develop our professional mentoring scheme, deliver further breakfast meetings and increase our use of social media.

Our branch area provides details of our events programme for the year, information on the Awards, contact details and all newsletters and past event presentation slides.

You can also find us on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

Are you a passionate HR&D practitioner based in the North East? Are you a current CIPD member? Have you attended CIPD events or been involved in our mentoring programmes over the last 12 months? If the answers are yes, we have an opportunity that you may be interested in!

The CIPD North East of England Branch are an active branch, keen to develop the HR&D profession within the region, through events such as the day conference. Branches arrange activities and events which provide opportunities, at a local level, for regional members to network with one another and to update their knowledge and skills.

The Branch is run by a committee of volunteers - HR&D professionals that commit their time on a regular basis. All members have specific roles and responsibilities and there are many larger projects, such as our annual awards, that we all get involved with.

If you have expertise or are interested in any of the following roles we would be interested to hear from you;

  • Social Media and Communications
  • Deputy Treasurer
  • L&D Network Lead
  • Developing partnerships with other professional bodies and regional agencies.

Successful applicants would be invited to attend the 2017/18 strategy planning session being held in July in Newcastle upon Tyne.

The application form can be found below and contains the minimum criteria for applicants. The deadline for submission of completed applications is the 30 June 2017.
