Collaborate and learn at local events and professional networks
A warm welcome to the North of Scotland and Islands Branch. The primary purpose of our Branch is to promote and champion the objectives of the CIPD and to act as a local channel to ensure that CIPD members have opportunities to network with colleagues, continue with their professional development and remain up to date with evolving HR topics.
Our branch spans a wide geographical area from Aberdeen to Shetlands with over 2,000 members. However you engage with the branch, whether attending events, contributing to our newsletters, or by joining our Branch Committee or one of the associated groups, we have no doubt you will find it both valuable and enjoyable.
The Branch Committee is made up of volunteers who work hard in the background to provide a diverse and comprehensive schedule of events for Members, enabling us all to share the benefit and expertise of a range of speakers and leaders in our profession. The Branch provides an active programme of support to members including events, membership upgrading workshops, support and advice. It contributes to the work of CIPD Scotland, for instance planning of the Scottish CIPD Conference as well as supporting the wider activities of the CIPD in Wimbledon. Our events programme is available via the Local branch events section below. This section is updated on a regular basis so please do check and keep up to date with changes and additions.
We are keen to ensure that our Branch programme remains up to date and relevant to you. Please do keep in touch with us – our details can be found by clicking on ‘Contact Us’ – and do give us your comments about any of our events and suggestions for future events.
