Network, collaborate and share ideas with HR and L&D peers in your area
Welcome to the South East Wales CIPD Branch page. I’m Kate Ablett, a senior HR professional, and I’ve had the pleasure of leading the branch since May 2021 with the support of our brilliant branch committee, made up of vice chair, branch treasurer, branch secretary and committee members who work together to ensure the branch programme meets the needs and interests of the members.
Before that, I became involved with the branch in 2013 and I would really encourage you to join us. There are a number of ways you can engage with the branch, attending events virtually or face to face, interacting with us on our social media platforms or being part of one of the many professional network groups.
We look forward to welcoming you to our branch and hope you find it both enjoyable and valuable.
Kate Ablett, Assoc CIPD
Branch Chair
Our programme of events run from September to May, with face-to-face events taking place in Cardiff. We also include virtual events to ensure members from across our area, and beyond, can engage with us.
The aim of our programme is to support our members with their professional development as well as ensuring there are networking and peer support opportunities.
If you have any ideas or suggestions regarding subjects you would like to see covered, please let us know.
We are always looking for passionate individuals to join our committee each May when we hold our annual meeting. Joining the committee is a great way to expand your network and learn and share skills. If you are interested learning more about the opportunities on offer, then please have a chat with a committee member at our next event or contact us by email.
