Our branches are run by committees of CIPD members supported by the Branch Development team. Anyone who is a CIPD member can volunteer to help run their local branch, although to prevent the committees from becoming too large in some areas there may be a waitlist to join the committee.
Each branch holds an annual meeting every summer to elect the committee for the next year. Broadly there are three types of roles on a branch committee:
With guidance from CIPD, each branch committee prepares and submits an annual business plan and creates a programme of activities for the membership year.
