Welcome to CIPD Wales
At CIPD Wales we work to achieve our goal of establishing the voice of CIPD in Wales and for Wales. Working collaboratively with our 5000 members, our volunteers, and stakeholders - including government, employers and other professional bodies - we have crafted a unique position for ourselves as experts in policy and practice issues.
Maintaining a sustainable pan-Wales structure is important to us. That is why we keep our members, their experiences, and their challenges at the heart of what we do. Our many and varied events provide opportunities for us to collect and share valuable insight, enabling us to play our part in championing better work and working lives across Wales.
CIPD Wales Annual Review
To mark the start of a new CIPD year, we’ve taken the opportunity to look back and share some of our activity over the past 12 months, to remind ourselves of what we’ve set out to achieve, to update you on some of the areas that we want to focus on in the coming year plus suggest ways in which you might wish to become involved.
Thanks to all our members across Wales for their support during the year 2019/20 - click below to read our year in summary.
Lesley Richards - Head of CIPD Wales
Lesley has had a long involvement with the CIPD, having joined the South East Wales branch as a student member and holding a number of branch roles before chairing the branch for three years, and progressing discussions which ultimately led to the creation of CIPD Wales. As Head of CIPD Wales, her role encompasses three main drivers - influencing policy, building partnerships, delivering for members - all aligned to the overall objective of representing the voice of CIPD in Wales and for Wales.
