How do I make my renewal payment?
You can pay online via a credit or debit card, or by setting up an annual or quarterly direct debit. If you haven't already got a CIPD web account, you can use your email address and membership number to set one up. You can also use your account to access your member-only benefits and content.
If you prefer to pay by bank transfer, use the details below. Please make sure you provide your membership number and surname as your reference, so we can update your account (without it, we won’t know you’ve paid and your membership may be cancelled). Your membership number may be formatted like this 12345678 or like this 1234567X and you’ll find it on your membership card or in your renewal emails.
- Sort Code: 30-99-66
- Account number: 00549645
- Account name: CIPD
- Reference: Your 8 -digit member number (then surname if space permits)
- International payments may also need our BIC Code: LOYDGB21070 or IBAN code: GB52LOYD30996600549645
Bank transfers usually take three working days to reach us, and you’ll receive a receipt by email up to three working days after that. If you don’t receive a receipt within a week of sending your payment, please email us with your payment date and membership number and we’ll check your record.
Alternatively, you can pay by phone on +44 (0)20 8612 6242. Our lines will be busy as we approach the 1 July renewal date so please bear with us.
Direct debit payers will receive a payment schedule when their direct debit is set up, and every year in June. We update our €/£ exchange rate every year for members who pay through SEPA (Euro) direct debits. For 2020, this exchange rate is €1.15 = £1.00. If you’re based in the Eurozone, you can set up a Euro Direct Debit by completing the SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) form and emailing it to us.
Can I get support with fees or cancel my membership?
If you are struggling to pay your membership fees, you may be eligible for a reduced rate. You can find out about your eligibility or call us on +44 (0)20 8612 6242. We can discuss your options with you.
We are, unfortunately, not able to put your membership on hold for any period of time. If you wish to cancel your membership, call us as soon as possible to let us know that you wish to resign. If you do not inform us of your intention to resign, you will continue to be contacted regarding the annual renewal.
