The CIPD and The Careers & Enterprise Company (CEC) have won the Best Association Partnership or Collaboration at the Association Excellence Awards. These awards recognise and reward the hard-won achievements of trade bodies, membership organisations and associations.
The award was granted for the on-going work on the Enterprise Adviser Programme. Since 2016, the CIPD, working in partnership with the Careers & Enterprise Company, has recruited more than 1000 volunteers from the HR community for the Enterprise Adviser programme.
Now made up of more than 2,300 volunteers, the Enterprise Adviser Network – senior level volunteers from the world of business – work with leadership teams in schools and colleges across England to help them understand the local labour market and develop a whole school careers education strategy.
In commenting on the work of the partnership, the judging panel described it as being ‘innovative and successful with sustained success’. They continued: ‘CIPD and CEC have clearly invested in the practical implementation and sustaining of the collaboration. This collaboration demonstrates a depth of commitment to the aims of both CIPD and CEC to advance better work and better working lives.’
