We want to understand what life is like for you in parliament and, crucially, how we can continue to create a working culture built on professionalism, respect and inclusivity. We want to hear the experiences of Members and also their staff, both those based in Westminster and in the constituency.

This survey will draw on our UK Working Lives (UKWL) survey, which we use to create our annual Good Work Index.

Please complete this survey to tell us about your experiences and what can be done to support you.

This survey is open for three weeks from Monday 29 November.

This research is being led by the CIPD and the All-Party Group for Compassionate Politics, with support from the Members’ Services Team in the House of Commons. The survey is being run by our colleagues at Research Partners.

The CIPD takes your privacy seriously and will keep your personal information private and secure; see our privacy policy for details.

Your responses will be stored securely and confidentially by Research Partners and the CIPD in line with Data Protection Act and British Sociological Association guidelines. The CIPD Research and Policy team will analyse the data and report findings in aggregate so that no individuals can be identified. Confidential data will only be available to the CIPD Research and Policy teams, the APPG and Members’ Services Team; it will not be shared further.

Your participation is entirely voluntary and you have the right to withdraw at any time. Should you have any questions relating to the survey or the research project more widely, do not hesitate to contact Jake Young, Research Associate at the CIPD, at jake.young@cipd.co.uk.
