Welcome to the Isle of Man Branch of the CIPD.
To introduce myself, I’m Clare Conie and I’m the Chair of the Isle of Man Branch and I am a Chartered Fellow. I’m a committed and experienced HR professional having spent 30 years working in our profession for several organisations. I currently work as the Executive Director of the Office of Human Resources, within Cabinet Office in the Isle of Man Government.
Our committee comprises volunteers who work hard to organise interesting and relevant events to enhance your continuing professional development and raise the profile of the HR community on the Isle of Man.
We want to involve everyone and make them feel welcome at our events.

Get involved
Our branch comprises a diverse range of HR professionals working across the public, private and third sectors, so we have a vast array of skills and experiences to share. We want to build a people-focused, friendly branch which represents and supports the unique island community we are working in.
We hold evening and lunchtime events covering a variety of relevant subjects including changes in the General Data Protection Regulations and its impact on HR practitioners, the impact of VUCA, mock Employment Tribunals and the Equality Act.
We're working towards providing greater input into public policy agendas which affect our working lives.
