Our financial year ending 30 June 2017 saw us make important headway in championing better work and working lives. In collaboration with our members, we launched our professional principles — a set of fundamental beliefs to help guide good HR practice and workplace decisions in any situation.

We have grown the legitimacy and influence of our voice and that of the profession in the public sphere, being relied on by policy makers to contribute advice on matters such as good work, ethical pay, the gig economy, diversity and inclusion, the skills and productivity agenda, Brexit and the labour market. Above all, we have been working hard to support our growing membership — now over 145,000 around the world — at every stage of their career, ensuring they have the right tools to be the best people professionals they can be, with a new and improved website, practical resources and other learning opportunities.

Our 2017 Annual Report and Accounts will be available to download in full on 20 November 2017.
