We closed our financial year on 30 June 2019 with 154,364 members, marking our seventh consecutive year of growth. We rely on this growing community of people professionals to ensure work is as good for people and society as it is for business and economies. And as their chosen career partner, it's our job to make sure they have everything they need to succeed.

Following publication we have corrected an error on p12 of the Annual Report and Accounts. We removed an incorrect sentence which stated 56% say CIPD content is relevant to members 'at my level' but just 22% felt CIPD membership is relevant to their current role. In particular, many of our Chartered members are self-employed consultants who feel we don’t support them well. This sentence has been replaced with 56% say CIPD content is relevant to members 'at my level' and 61% agree that CIPD membership is relevant to their current role. We apologise for any confusion this may have caused.
